On May 29, 2026, the establishment conference of the Talent Development Professional Committee of the Patent Protection Association of China (PPAC) and the first meeting of the committee were held in Beijing. Vice President and Secretary-General Lei Xiaoyun attended the meeting and delivered a speech

On January 30th 2026, The founding assembly and the first plenary meeting of the Innovation Management Sub-Technical Committee of the National Knowledge Management Standardization Technical Committee（SAC TC554/SC2）was held in Beijing. Officials from the National Standardization Administration (SAC) attended the meeting and announcement of the establishment of the subcommittee. Relevant leaders from the Intellectual Property Application Promotion Department of the National Intellectual Property Administration also attended the meeting and make an address. Deputy Director of the National Standardization Technical Committee for Knowledge Management, Lei Xiaoyun, attended the meeting and made a speech. Members of the Innovation Management Subcommittee and some registered experts of ISO TC279 participated in the meeting. The Innovation Management Subcommittee is responsible for standardization work in the fields of national innovation management and intellectual property management. Also, the subcommittee take the role of mirror committee of ISO/TC279.

ISO TC279 2025 Plenary meeting was hold in Oslo. More than 40 experts from 20 countries across all continents came together with a shared purpose: advancing international standards that support the professionalization of innovation management. The key takeaways are : 1) Significant progress in the revision of ISO 56002 – Innovation Management System under the leadership of Andrew Stanton 2)Solid advances on the upcoming ISO 56012 – Innovation Ecosystem Management under the leadership of Dr. Annika Steiber & Sorin Cohn-Sfetcu 3)Major steps forward in the drafting of ISO 56013 – Innovation Portfolio Management under the leadership of Harlan Bennett & Sorin Cohn-Sfetcu 4)Progress in the alignement of terminology among ISO 56000 Family under the leadership of Magnus Hakvåg Beyond the technical work, this meeting also marked: ✅ Even stronger global coordination to promote the use of these standards for the common good under the leadership of Fan Zhang ✅ Promising progress for further participation of developing countries representatives with leadership from Phumuza Langa ✅ Intense, passionate, and respectful discussions — always guided by the pursuit of consensus Thanks to ISO TC 279 - Innovation Management leadership team : Johan CLAIRE, Mélissa De Medeiros, Pauline Joris & Lane Zhao and to the host Standard Norge, Alexandra Haukaas, Tobias Studer Andersson for ensuring so well expert could work in first class conditions.

On December 12th, the "2024 Global Open Innovation Forum", jointly organized by the Innovation Research Center of Tsinghua University and Plug & Play China, was grandly opened in Zhangjiang, Shanghai. Johan Claire, the chairperson of the ISO/TC279 International Standards Organization's Innovation Management Technical Committee, was invited to attend the conference.
