The first "Innovation Management and Intellectual Property International Conference" was successfully held in Beijing on May 19, 2021. Under the leadership of the National Knowledge Management Standardization Technical Committee (SAC/TC 554), the conference was jointly hosted by Beijing Guozhihe Innovation and Intellectual Property Academy and The China Aerospace Science & Industry Corporation Intellectual Property Research Center, cohost by Beijing Intellectual Property Office and Chaoyang District People's Government, and Chaoyang District Market Administration. The conference promoted Chaoyang district as the high-standard city of national intellectual property operation service system and implemented the strategic positioning of Beijing's "Four Centers" in Chaoyang district.
The international standard ISO 56005 "Guidelines for Innovation Management: Innovation Management and Intellectual Property Management" was first initiated by Chinese experts, who are the co-leaders of the project. More than 100 global experts participated in the standard development. It was approved by more than 60 members of The technical committee of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO/TC 279), and officially released by the International Standardization Organization by the end of November 2020. The conference indicates a new stage of ISO 56005's transition from standard development to standard pilot implementation.
