On January 30th 2026, The founding assembly and the first plenary meeting of the Innovation Management Sub-Technical Committee of the National Knowledge Management Standardization Technical Committee（SAC TC554/SC2）was held in Beijing. Officials from the National Standardization Administration (SAC) attended the meeting and announcement of the establishment of the subcommittee. Relevant leaders from the Intellectual Property Application Promotion Department of the National Intellectual Property Administration also attended the meeting and make an address. Deputy Director of the National Standardization Technical Committee for Knowledge Management, Lei Xiaoyun, attended the meeting and made a speech. Members of the Innovation Management Subcommittee and some registered experts of ISO TC279 participated in the meeting. The Innovation Management Subcommittee is responsible for standardization work in the fields of national innovation management and intellectual property management. Also, the subcommittee take the role of mirror committee of ISO/TC279.

ISO TC279 2025 Plenary meeting was hold in Oslo. More than 40 experts from 20 countries across all continents came together with a shared purpose: advancing international standards that support the professionalization of innovation management.
