The vitality of standards lies in implementation. Implementing the ISO 56000 international standard series helps to establish a strategic framework for organizations, to accelerate the integration of knowledge and innovation, to explore innovation pathways, to reduce operational risks, to facilitate innovation collaboration, and to realize innovation value. Meanwhile, continuously pushing the implementation and evaluation of standards will also promote standard makers to further understand the current situation and needs of organizations, and to provide valuable suggestions and opinions for the development of new international standards and the revision of published international standards. The Standard Implementation and Evaluation Plan of IMSPP will continue to track the implementation and evaluation progress of ISO 56000 international standards series, and share the experience and feedback.
ISO 56005 Implementation and Evaluation
In November 2020, ISO 56005 Innovation Management -Tools and methods for intellectual property management- Guidance was officially published. ISO 56005 defines the relationship between business strategy, innovation strategy and intellectual property strategy of organizations. ISO 56005 integrates intellectual property management into the innovation process, maximizing the value of innovation through intellectual property management. ISO 56005 is one of the most important standards within the innovation management standard series. Based on the ISO 56005, the appraisal system and indicators for Innovation and Intellectual Property Management Capability has been established, and the pilot project is ongoing. Yet to date, ISO 56005 has been implemented and appraised in over 1400 organizations. It helps organizations building their innovation management and intellectual property management capability, shaping innovation and intellectual property management culture, improving innovation related departments communication and enlarging innovation values.
ISO 56001 Implementation and Evaluation
In 2024, ISO 56001 Innovation management system — Requirements was officially published. ISO 56001 provides requirements and guidance for establishing, implementing, maintaining, and improving an innovation management system. This standard aims to enhance an organization's ability to innovate consistently and successfully. It applies to all types of organizations regardless of type, size, or the products and services they provide, offering a systematic approach to fostering and managing innovation.Based on the ISO 56001, the appraisal system and indicators for Innovation Management Capability has been established, and the pilot project is ongoing. The pilot project focuses on tracking and evaluating the efficiency and effectiveness of enterprises which have implemented the ISO 56001 through qualitative and quantitative indicators.

ISO means sensitivity. The sensitivity is a measure of the sensitivity of the film to light. It is determined by sensitivity measurement and several measured values. The ISO standard is ISO 6. For a less light sensitive film, it needs to be exposed for a longer time to achieve the same imaging as a more sensitive film, so it is usually called a slow film. Highly sensitive film is therefore called fast film. In addition, an ISO system closely related to the sensitivity is used to measure the sensitivity of digital imaging systems. Whether it is digital or negative photography, the use of relatively high sensitivity in order to reduce the exposure time will usually lead to lower image quality (due to thicker negative film particles or higher image noise or other factors).
Basically, using a higher sensitivity can reduce the blurring caused by camera shake, and reduce the exposure time, but it will lead to reduced image detail performance; Using a lower sensitivity can reduce the noise (noise) of the captured image, but the exposure time is relatively increased and is more vulnerable to shake.
